Peptide therapy in Kendall

Physician-supervised peptide protocols for adults in Miami, prescribed only when clinically appropriate after a provider evaluation and lab work. Available with or without a membership.

What we evaluate at your consultation

Every plan starts with your goals, your history and your labs. Your provider explains the evidence, risks and alternatives for any option before you decide.

  • Body compositionA body composition assessment, alongside a nutrition and exercise plan.
  • Medical weight managementIncluding GLP-1 medications for patients who meet clinical criteria, with monitoring.
  • Longevity medicineAs one part of a broader longevity medicine plan.
  • Ongoing monitoringCheck-ins and repeat labs while you are on a protocol.

Some peptides are FDA-approved prescription medications, while others have limited human research. Your provider will tell you which options are FDA-approved before you decide. Compounded medications (prepared by a pharmacy) are not FDA-approved. Not every patient is a candidate, and individual results vary. Read our patient's guide to peptide therapy in Miami, which covers FDA status, safety, cost factors and how to choose a clinic, and our overview of GLP-1 peptides for weight management.

Questions patients ask

Do I need a membership for peptide therapy?

No. Peptide therapy is available to any qualified adult patient. Members receive discounted pricing, but a membership is not required.

Will I definitely be prescribed a peptide?

No. Peptides are prescribed only when clinically appropriate after a provider evaluation and lab work. Your provider will explain the evidence, risks and alternatives for any option discussed.

Does Provena Care prescribe GLP-1 medications for weight management?

GLP-1 medications may be prescribed for patients who meet clinical criteria after an evaluation and labs, as part of a monitored weight management plan. Individual results vary.

Who manages my protocol?

Dr. Victor Calvo, MD, and Aquiles Garcia-Menocal, APRN manage your plan and follow up with check-ins and repeat labs.

Is peptide therapy legal in Florida?

Yes. Prescription peptide medicines are legal in Florida when a licensed clinician prescribes them after an evaluation and a licensed pharmacy dispenses them. Products sold online as "research use only" are not approved for people, and Provena Care does not use them.

Is peptide therapy covered by insurance?

Most peptides are not covered by insurance. Some FDA-approved medicines may be covered when you meet your plan's criteria, and your consultation and labs may be billable to accepted insurance when medically indicated.

How soon will I notice a difference?

It depends on the peptide and your goal, and individual results vary. Your provider will explain what to expect for your plan and review your progress, and your labs, at follow-up visits.

What is the difference between peptide therapy and hormone therapy?

Hormone therapy adjusts hormones such as testosterone, estrogen or thyroid when labs show a need. Peptide therapy uses short amino-acid chains that act as signals for specific goals. Some patients need one, some both, some neither, and labs guide the decision.

Can follow-up visits be done by telehealth?

Yes. After your first evaluation, many follow-up visits can be done by telehealth anywhere in Florida.
